Nagpur-Adilabad-Hyderabad-Anantpur-Bangalore

Highway: NH7

Day Two:

There is an understanding if roads are good it becomes boring and un-interesting to travel on those. This was perfectly true for our travel from Nagpur to Bangalore. Since we reached Nagpur a little late and by the time we hit the bed it was close to 11 PM, it became difficult for us to start the next morning. We could not get up earlier then 5:30 and started at 6:10 AM in the morning. The meter was reading 938.8 kms and we were ready to hit back to roads. As it was already bright we could find a tea stall and had tea near the Airport. It was Ashtami that day so we were on fast and hence we had to save lot of energy to keep rolling.

Since it was morning Shweta was not interested in driving so I started the second day.

Nagpur- Hyderabad: Nagpur to Hinganghat road was good and we could start the day with ease. Since we started late, lot of traffic of trucks and buses was on roads but could manage to reach Hinganghat in 1:15 hour. Post Hinganghat road was not good and in fact it was terrible in a stretch. There were lot of diversions cropping up every now and then and it was difficult to speed up as the momentum was breaking very often. After crossing Pandharkawada the roads were very bad and after another 30-40 mins; the roads improved drastically. The road allowed testing the power of car and we sped away Adilabad, Nirmal and Armour very quickly. This time I didn’t make the mistake of going in the Nizamabad town and took the bypass. All this while Shweta was either sleeping or was just busy in changing the CDs and Songs. Seeing the road Shweta took over from me and I decided to take a quick nap. Just when I closed my eyes, car suddenly slowed down as Shweta applied heavy brake. There was a herd of goats on road which suddenly came on road. But that made her extra cautious and I could easily sleep for next one hour. When I woke up we were near one toll gate, we decided to buy some cucumber because both of us were very hungry. This gave a small break to Shweta’s nerves and we started again towards Hyderabad.

We reached Medhchal and with my past experience of this road I decided to take the same route from medhchal and hit Miyapur. This was the time I took over from Shweta and immediately we faced a railway crossing. Then we passed Hyderabad via Miyapur-GachiBowli-Nehru Ringroad-NH7. This route was very busy as all these are quite busy places and I still have doubt had we continued on NH 7 could we pass Hyderabad quickly or not. Finally we crossed Hyderabad at 1:35 PM and meter was reading 1475.5 kms. So in today’s travel we covered 537 km in 7 hrs and 30 mins.

Next was Hyderabad to Bangalore
