I joined this college in 1988. It was considered to be the best college in the town. I am saying considered because in small towns we don’t have any measures to find the ratings of the schools and colleges. Another college which could reach somewhere near was GIC. I joined the college first time as earlier I was in an Infant Montessori school.
I made lot many friends for life in this college. This is foundation of everything which i am today.
I don’t want to name anyone but i know everyone knows about his contribution to my life.
The school prayer was 'Data gyan hume do'.
I am not sure how attendance is taken in different schools but the way it was taken in our college was little peculiar.
We used to assemble in the ground. First we will have the prayer, then post that some announcements if there is any. This was followed by the attendance, a person would call the numbers and every one standing in the queue of his class would raise his hand when his roll number is called. All those who are absent their numbers would be noted by the class teacher or the monitor. This would be later updated in the class attendance register.
Another peculiar thing of our times was Leg cricket. Ball would be rolled slowly and the BATTER (??) would come and hit by leg. This i never saw anywhere else being played.
The principal in our times was Mohd Tariq who took over from a very strict principal and was a relief for us.
The uniform of our college was sky blue shirt and khakhi pants. Saturdays were the free days to wear anything. It was a boy’s college.
